Hi y’all, I’m very new to organic gardening, and I inherited this edible garden that has about 11 small rows of a drip system already set up. But I really don’t know where to start with it.

I live in southern Baja, Mexico, and pretty much everything is going to seed except the carrots.

I tried the carrots and they are good but don’t have flavor, which suggests to me the soil doesn’t have much nutrients.

We are going to enter the very hot and wet months of August and September, but it’s very temperate the rest of the year.

I’m wondering:
1) how I can prepare this plot to start planting
2) should I rip out the plants that have gone to seed? (Broccoli, lettuce)
3) can I plant anything during those hot, wet months or should I wait until October when it starts to cool
4) anything else/advice/resources/suggestions to get me started?

Thank you for sharing your wisdom!!
